New Asia Bar
Friday, September 26, 2008

This weekend is F1 weekend! Many many super SUPER rich people are in town. And of course, with super rich people in town, there must be events catered to them. I went to help out for an Ed Hardy fashion show at New Asia Bar at Swissotel. It's an invitation only, red carpet event. I felt so underdressed when I was there. The place is super SUPER posh. And the view from the bar is OMG, breathtaking. For those of you who don't know where New Asia Bar is, it's on the 70th storey of Swissotel.

I managed to meet the event organiser, a Jamaican guy. His build is superb, i tell you. And after meeting all the people today, I'm provoked. I'm going to do something to myself. I'm going to train up man. Watching the way they work is also amazing. The guy pays so much attention to detail. Even where the standees and banners are placed are important. Who holds it is also important. He even thinks about the impression people will get when they look at the whole place. Amazing guy.

Here's some pictures.

AHS
Thursday, September 25, 2008

I just came back from a morning prayer meeting at AHS. Indeed something exciting is happening in that place! I skipped school just to go and lead my member and her classmates in prayer. Exams are coming in a few weeks time and they are anxious. A grand total of 14 people came for the prayer meeting. I was shocked! SO MANY PEOPLE! And the best thing was, when I checked with them how many of them attend another church, only 2 raised up their hands, which means, 11 non-Christians joined us!

It all started during "I am a campus revivalist" session in June where Pastor Zhuang shared about how to start a campus ministry. Before he started, he just asked how many of them are from AHS and to his surprise, my member, Gracia, was the only one. I could sense his disappointment. During the session, this burden for AHS was birthed in me. I told my members that I don't believe that revival has died in AHS. I told them that we can do something about it.

The coming months after June were not easy. Initially, I met two of my members, Gracia and David, every Thursday to pray before their morning assembly. It wasn't easy. But as we prayed, God answers. Slowly, I could see that they believed in this vision.

Truly, something exciting is happening in AHS. I'm just so honored to be able to go there and lead so many of them in a prayer meeting. I'm also very excited for all the events that are coming after their exams. REVIVAL IS COMING!

Passion

Yesterday night, I talked to a person that has great passion in her life. She really showed me what passion means. She's willing to push aside other demands on her time; she's willing to sacrifice her time; she's willing to do it without getting paid; she's willing to do it without any recognition; she's willing to risk getting scolded by her boss; she's willing to do it because of her passion.

I'm really really touched. Thanks for teaching me what passion is about!

I'm provoked after today's session.

Be more bold.
Be more creative.
Be more willing.
Be more sharp.

First

I love, because You first loved me
I live, because of what You gave
You died, showed me how to live
Your mercy taught me to forgive

You came and poured Yourself so free
Your blood washed away my shame
And now I can live again
I'm more of You and less of me

My first love
Forever You will be
My first breath
You're the life in me
My first joy
The world can never take from me
My covenant with You
Jesus

Your love falls down
Your love falls down
Your love falls down
Over me

Jesus, You'll always be my first love. I remember the time when I first came to church. I remember the time when I first prayed. I remember the time when I first tithed. I remember the time when I first gave. I remember the time when I first led prayer meeting. I remember the time when I first led praise & worship. Jesus, You'll be my first love forever.

Prayer Meeting
Monday, September 1, 2008

Today's prayer meeting was awesome. The moment I stepped into the house, I knew something was different. I felt such a sense of destiny; that something extraordinary was about to happen. And when we started to pray and worship God, it was unbelievable. The presence of God was so strong that after the meeting, my supervisor even said that it was better than her cg meeting. Haha. It was such a wonderful time.

I really believe that from today onwards, there's something different about us. Something is happening! A breakthrough is coming! And really, the company that prays together stays together. Thank You Holy Spirit for such a wonderful meeting.
